Restorative Yoga

 

Restorative yoga creates a spaciousness within, conducive to healing physically and emotionally.  You begin with gentle stretching and tuning into your breath.  Then you move into restorative postures, where your body is supported by props (such as yoga blankets, bolster).  As you relax into each position, you let go of chronic tension, coming into balance and a sense of peace.

Julia trained in restorative yoga with Judith Lasater, becoming a Relax and Renew teacher, and with Jillian Pransky and Carolyn Sudeen.  She incorporates restorative yoga into her classes, workshops, and private sessions.

I’ve worked with Julia over 15 years.  Her gentle voice and carefully guided yoga and healing practices have helped me enormously.  I walk out feeling relaxed and whole in my body and mind.
